EHOVE Career Center officially broke ground this month on its facilities expansion project, marking a major milestone in preparing the future workforce for in-demand careers. The groundbreaking celebration took place on October 28 on campus with EHOVE Board of Education members, EHOVE leadership and staff, representatives from Architectural Vision Group, Ltd. (AVG) and the Greenspace–Roncelli Joint Venture, local officials and business partners in attendance.

“This project represents more than construction. It’s about creating new opportunities for students and the community,” said Superintendent Chris McCully. “EHOVE has always been a place where innovation and purpose meet, and this expansion gives us the space to take that mission to the next level.”

The multi-year project will nearly double the school’s square footage, adding state-of-the-art labs and classrooms designed to support EHOVE’s 25 high school career tech programs and 21 adult education programs. The plans also include new programs such as Dental Hygienist, Veterinary Tech, Bakery and Heavy Machinery, while modernizing infrastructure, improving campus security and expanding access for community and business partners.

“This is an investment in people,” McCully added. “We’re building an environment where students can master real-world skills, where local businesses can connect with talent, and where our entire region benefits from a stronger, more prepared workforce.”

The design work for the project is being led by Architectural Vision Group (AVG), a firm specializing in educational facility design, while Greenspace Construction Services serves as the construction manager. Greenspace is known for innovative learning environments that foster collaboration and community engagement.

The project was developed with guidance from EHOVE’s Facilities Planning Committee, a group of community and industry leaders who worked closely with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission and Architectural Vision Group to align the project with workforce and community needs.

EHOVE will continue to provide updates throughout the construction process to keep students, families and community members informed. For more information about EHOVE’s expansion project and upcoming events, visit www.EHOVE.net/facilityproject or follow @EHOVEworks on social media.
