Learn: How to work in a variety of healthcare settings performing clinical and administrative duties, the cognitive and practical skills necessary to become an entry level Medical Assistant and skilled Phlebotomist, giving you an edge to become certified in both fields.
Skills: Vital Signs, Phlebotomy, ECGs, Giving Injections and Vaccines, Wound Care, Assisting in surgical procedures, POCT (point-of-care-testing) including urinalysis, strep, mono, and COVID testing, Office Billing & Coding Procedures, Customer Service Skills, EHR training and much more!
Cool!: Two of the fastest growing Allied Health Careers –and they are rolled into one program! Medical Assisting is expected to grow by 18% and Phlebotomy by 22% over the next 8 years! This is much faster than most careers.
Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Phlebotomy Technician (PBT)
Practicum Info: 200 hour unpaid practicum experience in a physician's office or urgent care
