Career Assessment
The Career Assessment Center offers services for students with or without special needs. Any student 14 years or older can attend. Special needs students (i.e., IEP, 504) will receive priority.
Students are assigned to various work samples relating to
their interests. Work performance and behaviors are observed
and recorded under controlled conditions.
Some examples of the assessment tools we currently use are:
Spacial Relations Careerscope Aptitudes and Interests Dexterity with Small Tools

Manual Dexterity Structural Visualization Eye-Hand-Foot Coordination

At the completion of the assessment a detailed report is written for each student containing work behaviors, interests and job skills. This report, along with specific recommendations for employment, training, or supportive services, is reviewed at the conference held at the student’s associate school.
