Community Based Opportunity
Students in EHOVE’s Community Based Opportunity (CBO) program are offered the opportunity to train at restaurants, retail stores and resort settings. They are offered the opportunity to participate in a half-day experience leading to a full day immersion in the workplace CBO students learn the job skills needed and receive continuous feedback while applying newly learned skills.
Some students will forego graduation to attend a 13th year in Project Search, where job skills are assessed by Project Search staff at each work site.
Community Based Occupations is a two-year transition program for students with disabilities who are 16 years old.
Career Focus:
It is targeted for students whose main goal is competitive employment in the local community.
