PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN - 506CT
This program prepares you to become a Phlebotomy Technicians working in a variety of health care laboratory settings obtaining drawing blood samples and non-blood samples for laboratory testing. Attention to detail with a caring, positive attitude is a must! This program includes computers, medical terminology, basic science, laboratory testing, and drawing techniques.
A 200* hour unpaid externship will occur beginning in October and running through November, Monday through Friday approximately 25 hours per week, various shifts. Admission requirements include but not limited to: high school diploma or GED and successful completion of a pre-entrance exam. A criminal background check, physical and drug screen. At the end of the course you will be eligible to sit for the Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) examination. Contact Ext. 373 for more information. Class is limited to 15 participants.
