Career Opportunities:
- Microcomputer Applications Specialists are skilled in hardware and software applications, desktop publishing, spreadsheet editing, and documentation.
- Computer Support Technicians support users of hardware and software by maintaining and upgrading systems, troubleshooting, problem solving, and offering special training to users.
- Computer PC/Network Coordinators manage the hardware and the applications of the computer system. They know how the system operates and work to keep everyone up and running.
- Network Systems Technicians set up networks, train network users, and integrate hardware and software.

- A mechanical/electrical aptitude
Certification Opportunities:
Upon completion of program and passing scores on exams, students may earn the following certifications:
- Cisco
- C-Tech Cabling Technician
- Windows OS (Computer Repair)
TECH PREP Acceptance Guidelines:
For acceptance into the Computer Networking TECH PREP program, you should have:
- A strong interest in computers and computer networking
- Junior status at your high school, with āCā average or better in Algebra and Science
- 2.5 or better overall Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Recommendation of high school counselor or principal
- Interest in post-secondary technical education
Final acceptance is determined through an interview with TECH PREP staff members and acceptable scores on College Placement Tests.
