Career Opportunities:

Microcomputer Applications Specialists are skilled in hardware and software applications, desktop publishing, spreadsheet editing, and documentation.
Computer Support Technicians support users of hardware and software by maintaining and upgrading systems, troubleshooting, problem solving, and offering special training to users.
Computer PC/Network Coordinators manage the hardware and the applications of the computer system. They know how the system operates and work to keep everyone up and running.
Network Systems Technicians set up networks, train network users, and integrate hardware and software.

TECH PREP Acceptance Guidelines:

For acceptance into the Computer Networking TECH PREP program, you should have:

A strong interest in computers and computer networking
Junior status at your high school, with “C” average or better in Algebra and Science
2.5 or better overall Grade Point Average (GPA)
Recommendation of high school counselor or principal
Interest in post-secondary technical education

Final acceptance is determined through an interview with TECH PREP staff members and acceptable scores on College Placement Tests.
