By showcasing the skills they've learned in their career tech programs, EHOVE students found success at the SkillsUSA State competition at the Columbus Convention Center on April 16 & 17. 

Five students finished in 1st place in their competition categories and qualified for the national competition in Louisville, KY this June.  Another 16 students finished in 2nd or 3rd place in their competition categories.

EHOVE students participate in student organizations and the competitions to experience the leadership opportunities, community service work, chance to apply the career field skills they’ve learned, and professional connections and opportunities. 

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.  The Ohio chapter provides its 31,500+ career-technical education members, which includes many EHOVE students, the opportunity to participate in local, regional, state and national competitive events, and encourages students to give back to the community through various community service activities.
