EHOVE’s Massage Therapy Program Graduation
Six students recently graduated from the 12 month Massage Therapy Program. This intense course of 808 hours consists of topics including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and massage theory. Students learn medical terminology along with an in-depth study of the human body and pathology.
They also receive a well-rounded foundation of the knowledge and clinical skills that a professional massage therapist requires. Specific massage modalities like chair and the one hour Swedish massage are also taught. To practice their techniques, students participate in public clinics where they have a chance to perform chair and full body massage, and educate the public about the benefits of massage therapy.
EHOVE Massage Therapy graduates are now on their way to a new career, as they are now eligible to sit for the State of Ohio and National Licensure Exam for massage therapy. This license gives students the ability to practice therapeutic procedures on clients in the state of Ohio. The 2010 graduates are Justin Baur-Huron, Tieara Churchwell-Sandusky, Kourtney Stewart-Sandusky, Lori Kirk-Milan, Shannon Hausman-Fremont and Tracy Leverknight-Wakeman.
