Several students from EHOVE Adult Career Center recently were awarded scholarships toward their education. Practical Nursing student Desiree Quinn (Bellevue) received a $500 from the Erie County Alzheimer’s Foundation. Medical Assistant student Fabiola Sanchez Vargas (Norwalk) and Practical Nursing student Barbara Trimmer (New London) were each awarded a $300 scholarship from EHOVE.
Norwalk Lions Club members and the Bader Family, owners of Summit Motorsports, awarded $1000 scholarships to Practical Nursing students Steve Good (Wakeman) and Michelle Shepherd (Plymouth). Practical Nursing student Kimberly Ungerer (Norwalk) also received the $1000 K. Flickinger Lions Scholarship from the Norwalk Lions Club.
The Bader Family scholarship is funded entirely by The Norwalk Lions Club, through monies earned by staffing the Beer Booth at Summit Motorsports. The Lions Club has been very generous with EHOVE sponsoring scholarships since 2007. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Lions Club. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide educational assistance to deserving EHOVE Adult Career Center students.
