Parent Information Nights

EHOVE Career Center has offered a series of presentations throughout the year called Parent Information Nights.  Designed especially for parents of students with disabilities, parents and students are encouraged to attend one or more sessions together.

The final session in the series is called Parents’ Choice and is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13 from 6-7:30 pm at EHOVE in Building A, Room A101.  Based on feedback from the comment cards from parents at the previous presentations, this final session will highlight the issues important to parents.  Through the year, participants have learned more about self-advocacy, legal differences in rights and responsibilities and how to access services.  See the full list of presentations

To pre-register or get more information, contact EHOVE Transition Specialist Marissa Peters at (419) 499-4663 x224, (419) 627-9665 x224 or

The presentation is open to the public, so attendees may live in any area or attend any school.  All presentations will include an event for students with disabilities that runs simultaneously, which is a great opportunity to build social skills and also helps parents by preventing their need for childcare.  Beverages and a light snack will be served.  Raffle prizes will also be drawn.  Participants who RSVP in advance will receive an extra raffle ticket.
