EHOVE Welcomes New Treasurer

On Wednesday, February 11, EHOVE Career Center’s Board of Education hired a new Treasurer, Timothy R. Coffman.

Coffman has over 15 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting through his positions as Treasurer/CFO for Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District and Old Fort Local School District, as well as positions as a financial analyst, accountant and management consultant with companies in Sandusky and Columbus.

“The Board is excited to have a treasurer with Tim’s knowledge and experience join our team,” said Board President Dr. Paul Lockwood.

Coffman is a graduate of Margaretta High School and earned a B.A. in Business Administration (Financial Concentration) from Bluffton University.  He has also completed Master’s courses from Ashland University in School Law & Ethics and School Finance & Economics.

“As a lifelong resident of the district, I am excited to be joining such a great team and organization,” said Coffman.  “I find the Treasurer’s job to be very rewarding even though it has become more challenging with the continued reductions in state funding.  Additionally, I think my experience in both the private and public sectors should benefit me in this position at EHOVE.”

He is a member of the Association of School Business Officials International, Ohio Association of School Business Officials and the Operating Committee for the Northern Ohio Educational Computer Association.

A Castalia resident,  he has also been involved in the community as a Castalia Recreation coach, Castalia Village Council member, Margaretta Class of 1995 Memorial Golf Outing and Scholarship Fund co-founder, Margaretta Local School Levy Campaign Chairman and Margaretta Athletic Booster Club’s Charitable Gaming volunteer accountant.
