Celebrating their successes

EHOVE Career Center inducted two new members into its Gallery of Success during a ceremony on October 7.  The gallery was created to celebrate success of EHOVE alumni in the working world.

“We honored the EHOVE Gallery of Success inductees who have excelled in their career field, started or expanded their own company, and have taken an active role to make our world a better place to live,” said Superintendent Sharon Mastroianni.

This year’s inductees joined 332 other individuals in the gallery.   To see ceremony photos and find out more about the inductees, go to www.EHOVE.net.

Rick Bryant -  Class of 1990, Monroeville HS  -  Auto Tech Program

Now an ASE Certified Master Technician and co-owner of B&N Automotive in Milan, Bryant attributed the beginning of his career path to the skills he learned at EHOVE in the Auto Tech program.  His mechanical experience history also includes foreman and manager positions in the automotive industry.

Community service is important aspect, as he is a supporter and donor of Norwalk, Edison and Monroeville school systems.  Recently, he and B&N Automotive donated several hours of car repair work to a local family who couldn’t afford repairs, yet needed the car to transport their sick child for cancer treatments.

His nominator, Shari Lieber, says Bryant is conscientious and works hard to ensure all customers leave with the feeling their service has been done with the utmost attention to detail.  She describes him in three words:  trustworthy, dependable and professional.

Bryant is a member of Norwalk and Milan Chambers of Commerce, MAC and Better Business Bureau. He resides in Norwalk and is engaged to Kristin Lieber.

Richard Bodey  -  Class of 2004, Bellevue HS  -  Computer Network Tech Program

After training in EHOVE’s Computer Network Tech program, Bodey applied his technology skills directly to a career as a CISCO Network Tech for the University of Akron.  He later worked in other technology positions utilizing his technology skills to work on large scale projects such as websites for Estee Lauder and Pfizer, as well as serving as a partner in a digital marketing firm.  He has also been involved with a book launching, software development and many other projects.

Bodey continued his education to earn a B.A. in Business Administration with a Computer Science minor, an MBA in International Business.  He also has earned certifications from Microsoft and Google and is the recipient of the Stephen Covey Leadership Award.

He says he was ahead of many of his colleagues in college because of his EHOVE training.  He also says his passion for business started when he became involved with EHOVE’s student organization called Business Professional of America.

His instructor, Mike Laser, who is still teaching at EHOVE, says Bodey was one of the most driven students he has taught in his 27 years, and that he always knew Bodey would be successful.

Bodey and his wife, Emily, live in Akron.
