A scholarship to new heights

Congratulations to EHOVE Career Based Intervention (CBI) student Brandy Allender (Western Reserve HS), who recently was awarded the Thomas Hyde Memorial Scholarship from the Association for Career and Technical Education.  To apply for the scholarship, Allender wrote an essay talking about all of her accomplishments and achievements in high school, and how EHOVE’s Career-Based program has helped her with her future career.

Allender was awarded a $1,000 scholarship towards the International Air & Hospitality Academy in Vancouver, Washington.  “I want to pursue a career as a flight attendant.  EHOVE has prepped me for my future career, and without EHOVE I would not be ready for the workforce,” said Allender.

EHOVE’s CBI program is for students who benefit from working part-time during the school day in either a paid co-op work experience or unpaid career exploration work-based learning experiences, job shadowing, volunteering and service learning activities.
