Law and Public Safety > Criminal Justice
The class is structured for anyone interested in working in the Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement fields. Students attending the program are interested in careers in local, state and federal police agencies, forensic labs, probation, court personnel, law or corrections. Our goal is to teach skills that will be useful in many occupations with a primary focus on the Criminal Justice process and how it functions. Students leave the program with a greater appreciation for the complexities of government operations and the difficulty in managing justice in an American Society.

Certifications offered through this program include: Private Security, Dispatch Training, CPR/AED/First Aid Training, Blood Borne Pathogens and Hazmat Awareness.

  • Understand and believe in the criminal justice system
  • Willing to meet grooming standards for entering a police academy

Get Involved

Criminal Justice students will become members of Skills USA VICA, an association of trades and industry students. Skills USA VICA allows students to participate in competitive events, fund-raisers, community service projects and social chapter activities.
