Information Technology > Interactive Media Technology - Tech Prep
Collaborative Program of EHOVE and BGSU/Firelands College
Interactive Media Tech is an it Works TECH PREP program which helps students to become experts in today’s software packages. Students learn computer graphic skills, digital video production, how to design web sites, and digital image editing which places them in high demand careers.

Students who meet certain academic criteria may earn college credit and industry certification through EHOVE’s collaboration with BGSU/Firelands College.

  • Digital Arts & Media Design– 3D Animation or Web Development and Digital Graphics & 3-D Animation Major—Terra Community College (Associate’s Degree)
  • Digital Media Technology—Web/Tech Communications Major and Digital Arts Major—North Central State College
    (Associate’s Degree)

Upon completion of program and passing scores on exams, students may earn the following certifications:

  • MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist)
  • Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
  • Macromedia Dreamweaver
  • WOW (Worldwide Organization of Web masters)
  • Internet and Computing Core (IC3)

TECH PREP Acceptance Guidelines
For acceptance into the Interactive Media
Technology TECH PREP program, you should have:

  • a strong interest in computer software
  • Junior status at your high school
    “C” average or better in Algebra and Science
  • 2.5 or better overall Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Recommendation of high school
    Counselor or Principal
  • Interest in post-secondary technical education

Final acceptance through an interview with TECH PREP staff members and acceptable scores on college placement tests.
