Health Science > Health Careers
 
The Health Careers program will provide the student with a background in related theory and hands-on experience in the medical assisting, nursing assisting and dental assisting fields. The course covers such topics as medical and dental terminology, medical ethics, universal precautions and anatomy and physiology. Students will be eligible to take the state nurse assistant test upon completion of the junior year. During their senior year the student is employed on a part-time basis in a health care position.

Get Involved

Health Careers students will become members of Skills USA VICA, an association of trades and industry students. Skills USA VICA allows students to participate in competitive events, fund-raisers, community service projects and social chapter activities.
