Electricity is designed to prepare students for employment in the areas of residential wiring, commercial installations, conduit bending, industrial motor control and main power supplies. The program covers the identification of many electrical materials and components, use of meters, troubleshooting of circuits, understanding the National Electrical Code, blueprint reading, electrical theory and related math and science.
A variety of work-based learning experiences are available to all students at EHOVE. These include job shadowing, guided mentorship during the summer (5th Quarter), and senior job placement. Students with high attendance and grades may be released from school to earn and learn on the job during their senior year.
