The opportunities in the Food Service Industry are diverse and growing. There are many interesting and exciting employment opportunities available for graduates of the Culinary Arts program. By the year 2005, about 1 million jobs for cooks and chefs are expected to be created. Other job possibilities in the industry are growing just as fast.

A variety of work-based learning experiences are available to all students at EHOVE. These include job shadowing, guided mentor-ship during the summer (5th Quarter), and senior job placement. Students with high attendance and grades may be released from school to earn and learn on the job during their senior year.

Fact:
It's no secret that the restaurant and foodservice industry is growing. Upon completion of program and passing scores on exams, students may earn the National Restaurant Association Pro-Start Certification.

Get Involved

Students will become members of FCCLA(Family, Careers and Community Laders of America), an association of Family and Consumer Science students. FCCLA allows students to participate in competitive events, fund-raisers, community service projects and social chapter activities.
