State Licensing Certification

This two-year program is designed to provide the student with technical information and laboratory experience necessary to qualify for the State Board of Cosmetology exam and enter the field as a licensed cosmetologist. Students are evaluated by competencies and require a score of 75% for passage in both Cosmetology and English. Successful students are employed at various area salons such as: Famous Hair, Chicago 29, Christian Roberts, Looks, and HeadQuarters.

Get Involved
Cosmetology students will become members of Skills USA VICA, an association of trades and industry students. Skills USA VICA allows students to participate in competitive events, fund-raisers, community service projects and social chapter activities.
