EHOVE Career Center welders earn AWS certifications
EHOVE Manufacturing Tech student Mike Kitko ( N. London) tries out the fence mounted hitting station fabricated in his class. Tyler Colvin ( Monroeville) is pictured at right.
The batting station was made from a length of conduit to which a threaded spinning tether was welded. The project required precision machining on the lathe and milling machine.
Manufacturing Tech is a two-year program that provides graduates with skills in basic welding, machining and computer- aided drawing. Students will select one program (welding or machine trades) to be their primary major in their senior year. Machining instructor is Dick Starcher and Welding instructor is Chuck Livermore.
