Three EHOVE Career Center Culinary Arts students won cash for their original recipes using Sweet Louise Sauces. The contest cook-off took place recently at the school when Sweet Louise Sauces founder Randa Sweet visited the school for judging.
Tyler Stephens (South Central) won $75 for his first place entry of Charming Cherry Jalapeno Poppers.
Aaron Farschman (Vermilion) won $75 for his second and third place entries of Soothing Apple Muffins and Apple Veggie Bratwurst Topper. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Amanda Morales (Vermilion) and Bryan Bova ( Bellevue).
For the contest, each recipe had to contain at least ½ cup of a SWEET LOUISE SAUCES product: PAMPERING CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER, CHARMING CHERRY KISS, or SOOTHING APPLE CINNAMON.
Contestants had 90 minutes to prepare and serve their dish(es) to the judges.
Sweet founded the company two years ago and is based in the Toledo area.
