Responsibilities/Skills Needed: Must be a student enrolled at an accredited institution at least half-time, majoring in accounting, business administration, human resources or a closely-related field.

- Good mathematical abilities/skills; competent knowledge of spelling and word usage; good diction and telephone etiquette; ability to deal tactfully with the public and co-workers; proficiency in filing, and good penmanship.

- Excellent keyboarding skills; competent in the correct and efficient use of common office machines/equipment, including computer hardware and software.  Demonstrated skill using spreadsheet and word processing programs, such as Excel and MicroSoft Word.  Testing may be administered.

- Bondable against loss through theft and dishonesty by the current MetroParks business insurance carrier at the time of employment and thereafter.

- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record allowing insurability by the park district’s current vehicle insurance carrier under existing coverage provisions at the time of employment and thereafter. Candidates for employment may not have more than 4 total points (or equivalent penalty) issued by a recognized licensing authority for driving-related violations on their driving record at the time of employment.

Background check, Drug test, and skills test are required for this positon.
