Internships

5th Quarter - Summer Internships

The 5th Quarter Summer Internship Program is an on-the-job, paid or unpaid, summer training experience for qualified high school students between their junior and senior years. Students gain direct workplace skills and competencies through a partnership between business, education, students and parents. The goal of the 5th Quarter experience is to give students an opportunity to develop additional skills that strengthen personal qualities important in the workplace.

Businesses commit to employ a student for a minimum of 150 hours between the end of the school year and the beginning of the next school year. There is no limit to the amount of additional hours that a student may work. Participants that complete all requirements of their summer internship may qualify for continued part-time work as early as September of their senior year.

Senior Work Based Learning
(Early Placement)

This is an opportunity for qualifying seniors to work during the lab portion of the school day, in a job that relates to their career technical training. Work Based Learning begins in the senior year for up to 3 days per week, as early as the 1st Monday in February. Qualifying seniors will get a head start in the working world.
