longer program can fill out a Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) once you are accepted

Am I eligible for Federal grants?
Pell grants are for low income students attending 600 hour or longer programs.

Am I eligible for Federal loans?
Almost all students enrolling in a 600 hour or longer program can get a Stafford
Loan. If you are in default on other student loans, you will need 6 months
of good repayment history before you can regain eligibility for Federal Financial
aid.
What can I do if I am in default on a prior Student
Loan?
You will need 6 months of good repayment history before you can regain eligibility
for Federal Financial Aid. Contact your loan Company to begin the process of
getting out of default.
Can I borrow extra money to pay for my living expenses?
Most students enrolling in a 600 hour or longer program can borrow some money
for living expenses. The government limits how much and, in general, it is
not enough to live on while enrolled in full time school. Keep in mind this
is money you must pay back. You can get a FASFA form from Financial Aid in

Can I use my GI Bill?
Yes. The forms are available in Room T-102 or by calling 419-499-4663, 419-627-9665
or 1-866-256-9707, ext 213. You will need to provide a copy of your DD214
discharge notice.
Are there other funding sources?
Graduating High School Seniors from Bellevue, Berlin-Milan, Danbury, Huron,
Kellys Island, Margaretta, Monroeville, New London, Norwalk, Perkins, Put-In-Bay,
St. Paul's, St. Mary's, South Central, Vermilion, and Western Reserve can
apply in their senior year for a $1,500 scholarship to enroll in a 600 hour
or longer program. An Adult Scholarship fund offers $300 scholarships which
are available by application two times per year. You can get Scholarship

The Department of Job and Family Services has access
to, "Workforce Investment Act" monies as well as, "Prevention,
Retention and Contingency" monies. Contact your local Department

If you are a dislocated worker, meaning you lost your
job through no fault of your own by a plant closing or
plant relocation, you may be eligible for re-training through
the County division of Job and Family Services. Inquire

I'm a single parent. Is there special funding?
No. The FASFA will take family size and income into consideration. You can
get a FASFA from Financial Aid in Room T-102 or by calling 419-499-4663,

What do I do to arrange for my employer to pay my
tuition?
Call the Adult Ed Office, extension 280, and request a tuition voucher. We
can mail your employer the voucher or fax it. Your employer will fill in the
amount of tuition and books they are willing to fund, sign and date the voucher.
You may bring in the signed voucher or have your employer fax it to us. EHOVE
will bill your employer after your first day of attendance.
Can I set up a payment plan?
Yes. EHOVE offers a payment plan option for courses that cost over $250. You
need to have a Visa or MasterCard. Make arrangements by stopping into Room
T-102 or calling 419-499-4663, 419-627-9665 or 1-866-256-9707, ext 353.
Is there an attendance requirement?
Yes. Students receiving Federal Financial Aid (Pell grants or Student Loans)
need to maintain at least a 90% attendance to keep their aid. Students can
be dismissed or loose their funding if they fall below this requirement.
If I get poor grades, can I loose my financial aid?
Yes. Most programs require a minimum grade point average to be considered passing
and making academic progress. If you fall below the requirement for your
program, you may loose your Federal Financial Aid (Pell grants or Student
Loans).
Do you offer tutoring?
Some programs have tutors available, but you will be asked to pay for their
service. We offer a Basic Skill lab where you can get help with math, reading

Can I get help with study skills, test anxiety and
time management?
Yes. We have 2 staff counselors who can help with these topics. They can work
with you individually or in a group. Some programs have the counselor come
into the class and do a presentation on these topics.
What happens to my financial aid if I drop out of
school or am dismissed from school?
The government has rules about return of Title IV funding (PELL grants and
Student Loans). Our refund policy states the amount of money we can return
to you should you drop out. In some cases, you will still owe us money. Please
