The full-time Paralegal Studies Program
is an 928-hour program that offers training for
work as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. This
program includes basic courses in law and legal
research as well as more specialized areas including
Real Estate , Contract Law, Criminal Law, Civil
Procedures, Tort Law, Domestic Relations Law,
Probate and Estate Law, Law Office Management, Corporate,
Business, and Agency Law and Employment Law.
In addition, Computer Applications, Professional
Ethics, Commercial and Consumer Law, Psychology
and the Legal System, and Accounting and Taxation
for Paralegals are offered. A 200-hour on-site
daytime internship is also required to successfully
complete the program.
Prerequisites: High school diploma
or GED, and a passing score on the Career Test.
Individual
classes are eligible for CLA Continuing Education
credit. Please call Ext. 293 for additional

CLA
Exam
EHOVE
is a proctor site for the CLA (Certified Legal Assistant)
exam. This is a two-day assessment offered
three times throughout the year (March, July, December).
