MILAN – Two adult nursing students at EHOVE Ghrist Adult Career Center were recently chosen to receive scholarships given by the Adult Education staff. Part time day LPN students Rhonda Hopton of Clyde and Stephanie Duncan of Port Clinton were each the recipient of a $300 scholarship from the EHOVE Ghrist Adult Career Center Adult Education Staff Scholarship Fund.
The Scholarship fund was started with donations made in memory of Heather Richards, a graduate of EHOVE's LPN Program, who died of cancer in 2003. Monies come from donations made by staff members and former students. The scholarships go to students who demonstrate solid work history and strong academic accomplishments. EHOVE Adult Education awards these scholarships twice a year.
The Ghrist Adult Education Department at EHOVE has been designated an Adult Vocational Full Service Center since 1991 by the Ohio Department of Education, Division of Vocational and Career Education. As an Adult Full Service Center, EHOVE can offer a full range of services in areas of adult training and adult student support.
The EHOVE Ghrist Adult Full Service Center is fully accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Universities. Accreditation by the NCA means the school has met the high standards for membership, standards which signify the school has the resources, personnel and leadership for effective education.
