EHOVE adult Medical Adm. Specialists graduate from program
MILAN –Six students enrolled in EHOVE Ghrist Adult Career Center’s Medical Administrative Specialist Program recently graduated.
Medical Administrative Specialists serve a key role in medical office, clinic and hospital settings. Students in this program have a sincere interest in helping people and have learned the complexities of the health care industry.
Typically working in the “front office,” Medical Administrative Specialists have strong people skills and quickly grasp changes in procedures, laws and insurance filing forms. The program covers basic science, computers, law and ethics; medical terminology/office procedures, grammar and writing for the medical office. A 130-hour externship in a medical office was also part of the program.
