EHOVE graduates first adult Marine Trades Tech class

EHOVE Ghrist Adult Career Center graduated the first Marine Trades Technician class on October 15. Ken Alvey, President of the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association (LEMTA) was the guest speaker. LEMTA awarded Stephen Flounders of Sandusky a scholarship

The Marine Trades Technician program is d esigned for anyone interested in working in the marine industry. The 700-hour program encompasses the following areas:

  • Marine Technician Fundamentals
  • Outboard and Outdrive Engines
  • Trailer Operation and Maintenance
  • Boating Safety
  • Marina Safety
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Fiberglass Repair
  • Winterizing
  • 200-Hour On-Site Daytime Internship
