MARINE TRADES TECHNICIAN

   

The Marina Industry is very strong in northern Ohio and all along the great lakes. Marinas need technicians to work on and around boats and marinas. With EHOVE’s Marine Trades Technician program, you’ll learn how to become a valuable team member and how to work on boats and in marinas. The Marine Trades Technician Program has been redesigned to meet the needs of today’s student. Classes are held at EHOVE and in a working marina. You’ll explore the marine industry with marine professionals currently working in the industry.
In this program you’ll study the following areas: Mercury Marine Technician Fundamentals, Outboards, PWC & Jet Drives, Stern-Drives, Gas & Diesel Engines, Trailer Operation and Maintenance, Boat Handling Equipment Operation, Boating Safety & Operation, Marine Safety, Electrical, Plumbing, Fiberglass Repair, Winterizing, Surveys, Rigging, and a 200-hour on-site daytime internship. Also included in this program: computer training, technical writing, customer service, and employability training. Register now! – class size is limited.

 

Prerequisite:  High School Diploma or GED and a passing score on the Career Test
